14th Annual Day in the Park

On September 14, 2019, Oakland's Maxwell Park Community Building & Diversity Neighborhood Action Team will present its 14th annual "DAY IN THE PARK" event!

We are a team of volunteers working to build a strong sense of community and embrace our diversity. Each year in September, we host this fabulous annual event that celebrates the diversity and spirit of community while bringing together neighbors, friends, and folks from all over Oakland -- and beyond -- with live music, children's activities, street vendors, food, and lots more!

The event is run entirely by volunteers and depends on your generous donations -- those who care about the spirit of community -- to cover costs to put on this event.

Some of the bigger expenses include the stage, professional sound, furniture rental (i.e., tables and chairs for vendors, event participants and attendees), supplies, and performer honorariums. Each year costs rise incrementally which is why we need your support more than ever.

The event showcases many of the talents and the spirit of the community, and everyone is invited to come and share in the celebration. Please help build community by making a contribution to support "DAY IN THE PARK." All proceeds go directly to this community event and are used to support it.

Please keep in mind that 9% of your GoFundMe donation goes to online processing fees.  Would you consider donating an extra 9% to cover these costs (i.e., $25 + 9% = $27)?
