Hi, my name is Lucy and my best friend Abbie and I are running a half marathon on 2nd August to raise money for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis.

This cause is very close to my heart, as my dad has pulmonary fibrosis. Seeing how this condition affects him and others has made me want to do something to help.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a serious lung condition where the lungs become scarred over time, making it harder to breathe and get enough oxygen into the body. It can have a big impact on everyday life, which is why more awareness and support is so important.

Around 5,000 people are diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis each year in the UK, and there is currently no cure.

By taking on this challenge, I’m hoping to raise funds to support research, improve treatments, and help people and families living with pulmonary fibrosis.
