Hi, my name is Alfie and i'm fundraising to support my sister and the department at the hospital which has supported her through chemo.

Last April, 2025, our families world was completely turned upside down, when my 31 year old sister found a lump in her breast and received a breast cancer diagnosis, a few weeks later we were told it had already spread to the bones in her leg and pelvis and was stage 4. What a lot of people don’t understand when they ask if after chemo she'll be ok is that this cancer is incurable. She will have this forever and will be on some form of treatment for the rest of her life, however long that may be.

She had 6 rounds, every 3 weeks of chemotherapy, together with immunotherapy, which is ongoing and now is also on hormone blockers, injections and tablets, which will put her in early menopause and is relying on research, oncologists, breast nurses etc to keep her on the best treatment plan to be able to live the longest, best life she can and be here to see her 2 year old son, my nephew, Frankie grow up.

She did, herself, hold a fundraiser, last October, for CoppaFeel charity who educate and encourage younger people to know and check their chests regularly in the hope of stamping out late detection.

Now I would like to raise funds for her, to help make her wedding and honeymoon the best experience and her day to day life a little less stressful as costs for hospital parking, petrol to go upto 3 times a month and dropping a day at work all has an impact.

We would also like to give back to The Centenary Wing, who helped make her chemotherapy journey a little more bearable, with drinks, food, blankets etc, a cheery smile and support from the Breast Nurses which has been priceless.

I am the youngest of 5 children and felt totally out of my depth with this news, and useless that I couldn't bring anything to the table to support her. This is something I can do. On Sunday May 3rd, at 10 a.m I will be running from Nikki's home in Rushden to The Centenary Wing, 13 miles, to try to raise as much as I can.

Thank you, if you have read this ridiculously long storey and please donate, however much or little.
