12 Marathons 12 x days

Hey,

My name’s Tane. My good friend AJ and myself are going to run 12 x full marathons for 12 x days, averaging out at one a day. We both come from health and fitness backgrounds and have experience in running, but we are forever testing the body/mind and its limitations daily.

I am based in Perth whilst AJ is based in Sydney. To add to the fun on the 8th day of the Run challenge, AJ will fly over to Perth to join me for day 9,10,11 and 12 and we will finish our runs together here in WA. We’re hoping others will join us where possible and we’ll finish up with some local run clubs such as the “Early Ones” and co-ordinators and good friends from a Bali run club “Shuffle & Strides.”

With everything going on in the world at present, as well as our own backyard here in Australia it comes natural and feels right in our heart to do some good and keep doing good/better and hopefully that will influence our peers watching to do the same. We have all experienced grief, loss and heartbreak at some point in life and we simply want to show that you can feel it, process it and channel that emotion towards a positive output. We remind ourselves that there is always someone out there who is struggling or doing it tougher.

Myself and Aj along with many other friends supporting this, have our platforms to make a meaningful difference by giving back and doing it with and for the Community.

Our first Marathon will start on the 12th of March 2024, with the last run finishing on the 23rd of March.

Finishing with a total of 506.4kms over the 12 days.

Our end goal out of all of this is to hopefully and most importantly provide for those children/families in need. We hope to maybe inspire you and others to do the same. Even better if we inspire you in the running and ultra space.
