Hello Everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Madeleine McNabb and I have been an active mentor for a young girl for over 3 years now through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program here in Niagara Region. 

My mentee, Isabel, who is now 12 years old has been faced with a devastating loss. She and her grandmother lost everything over the long weekend due to a house fire. School supplies, childhood memories, art work, family pictures, jewelry, memorabilia...the list goes on...everything has been completely taken away from them gone in flames. 

My heart breaks for Isabel and her grandmother. The challenges this family has already been faced with over the years is unfair and I just want to do everything in my power to help alleviate their pain. 

COVID has been challenging enough for this young girl. No sports, no birthday parties, always stuck at home....parents not allowing their kids to socialize. Not only has this young girl been isolated but has lost everything she has ever known. I can't even fathom the pain and loss this young beautiful smart girl is experiencing. The space she has made her own is now gone.

Please help me help Isabel and her grandmother recover from such a travesty and allow them to start anew.
