12 hour walk in memory of Sian Carter

I am hoping to make a difference, commemorating one year to the day since my mother died, by raising money to benefit ST. CATHERINE'S HOSPICE. My mother, Sian Carter, was fortunate to receive excellent end of life care when she needed it at St Catherine's Hospice's purpose-built premises in Pease Pottage. Her colourful, impactful and energetic life came to an early end after a brave 3 year struggle against triple negative breast cancer. Many would not be so fortunate to receive such end-of-life care, as not all beds at this facility have sufficient funding to be occupied. Hence the need to support this local charity for the benefit of others.

As my mother was a resident of Horsham for 35 years, it seems appropriate in her memory for our fundraising activity to have a local theme, including many locations familiar to her. So, I’m embarking on a 12 hour walk around Horsham on the 11th of March, with my friend Archie on a set route with the hope of reaching 36 miles or thereabouts in 12 hours.

Any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
