Support Our Swimming Challenge for Lake Safety!
We are three students from La Côte International School who share a passion for swimming and a deep appreciation for the beautiful lake we are so lucky to enjoy.
This year, we've decided to set ourselves a personal challenge — and turn it into something bigger. We’ll be swimming across the lake from Saint-Gingolph (France) to Cully (Switzerland) — a distance of 11km! Along the way, we’re aiming to raise CHF 6,000 to support our local lake rescue services (sauvetage), who work tirelessly to keep everyone safe on the water.
These rescue teams are entirely funded by donations, yet each year the number of people using the lake increases — and unfortunately, so do the accidents. This challenge is not only about pushing ourselves but also about:
- Raising awareness of how to stay safe on the lake
- Supporting those who dedicate their time to protect others
- Giving back to a community resource we all benefit from
We believe this lake is a fabulous natural treasure, and it's up to all of us to respect and protect it. Your support, no matter how small, will make a real difference.
Please help us reach our goal of CHF 1,000!
Together, we can make a splash — for safety, awareness, and community.
Thank you!
