113 Mural Project

The Magic Corner is preparing to have a magical mural painted for all to enjoy.

The owner Dr. Kenneth P. Ladd has been doing magic for over 50 years now. By holding yearly Magic Day Camps, and offering private lessons, he has helped children and youth build up their confidence, increase their communication skills, and foster their creativity. Over the years he has also teamed up with Wauseon and surrounding area schools to bring awareness to the dangers of burgs and how to increase kids’ self-esteem and decision-making skills via magic.

He has also been a member of the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce for the past 6 years.

Inside this one building at 113, S. Fulton St.-you can find The Magic Corner magic shop, The Birch Theater, and The Vanishing Magic Museum. Recently, the Vanishing Magic Museum has brought our town of Wauseon national recognition by appearing on Collectors Call on MeTV.

Next year marks the 10th anniversary of The Magic Corner located at 113 S. Fulton St. and 29 years in downtown Wauseon.

Please help us to bring this beautiful mural to life to celebrate!

The mural's name will be “It’s Magic in Wauseon”. It will be magic-related featuring Houdini, Birch, Blackstone Sr., Dr. Ladd, and his great-grandson apprentice Aiden Franz-Donato. It will also have special effects that will only show up at nighttime! The mural will be 36’ x 50’ in size.

The mural will be painted by www.muralvista.net a professional mural painting group. You may have seen their work at Los Mariachis on N. Shoop Ave. in Wauseon.

The actual painting of the mural will begin in May of 2023 because of the shortness of time before the weather becomes unsuitable for mural painting.

The cost is $16,000.
