‏My name is Mostafa , a 21-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. I was studying Journalism and Media, and my dream was to become a voice for my people and to share their stories with the world so that their suffering would not be forgotten. I used to live a simple yet hopeful life attending university, learning, and building a future for myself and my family.

‏But since October 7th, my life has been turned upside down, and my dreams have turned into nightmares. My family consists of 11 members, and we were forced to flee from our home in the north of Gaza to the south. We have been displaced multiple times, leaving behind pieces of our lives each time, never knowing where we will go next. We have lived under constant bombing, escaping death more than once by sheer miracle.

‏Today, our humanitarian situation is unbearable:

‏ • We no longer have a home to shelter us.

‏ • We struggle daily to find food and clean water.

‏ • My father suffers from chronic illnesses, and his health is worsening due to the lack of medicine and medical care.

‏ • And I, despite my young age, suffer from serious health issues that left me weighing only 48 kilograms. My body has become too weak to endure these harsh conditions.

‏We have lost so much our home, our health, our safety, and the life we once knew but we have not lost hope in your humanity.

‏I write to you with a heavy heart and great humility, because our need has grown beyond what we can endure on our own. I am pleading for your help to secure basic necessities like food, medicine, and shelter for my family, and to help me regain my health and continue my education so I can still pursue my dream of being a voice for my people.
