Row for Reach — 42km for the People of Newcastle Who Need It Most

This Saturday, we're rowing 42 kilometers to make sure they can keep doing it. Row for Reach is back for its 10th year. On Saturday 28th March, teams and individuals will line up at Dixon Park SLSC at 7am and row a full marathon distance — 42km — on erg rowers, raising funds for one of Newcastle's most dedicated community organizations.

Since 2016, Reach Homeless Services has been providing a safe space — every morning and every Friday evening — where people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness can access food, connection, and the essentials they need. The people they reach aren't a single story — they're people navigating homelessness, mental health challenges, domestic violence, financial hardship, and loneliness. What Reach offers them is simple and profound: a reliable place where someone shows up. Your donation keeps that showing up possible. It funds the breakfast packs distributed every weekday morning, the hot meals and hygiene kits on Friday nights, the volunteer community nurse, and the referrals that connect people to longer-term support.
