Join us on Sunday 18 May 2025 for our 10th Annual Memory Walk in aid of dementia awareness. This year's theme is 'Plaques & Stones'.
Who? Everyone welcome, including well behaved dogs on leads.
What? Join our Memory Walk and raise money for Dementia causes in Louth.
When? Sunday 18 May 2025. Registration at 1:30pm, walk starts at 2pm
Where? Start & Finish at St James’ Church, Westgate, Louth LN11 9YD
Why? In conjunction with Magna Vitae, Rotary is raising money to support people with dementia and their families. Enjoy a 2 mile guided walk with an interesting local history route. Refreshments, cakes, information display and toilets available at Church House.
This is an easy 2 mile circular guided walk through Louth, starting at St James' Church in the town centre. From there we take in some of the local history places of interest., following our theme of 'Plaques & Stones'. The route is flat and is wheelchair accessible. Well behaved dogs on leads welcome.
Safety marshaling is provided by members of Louth Rotary Club.
Our pop-up cafe will be open for refreshments from 1:30pm onwards.
In summary: a short walk, chat with friends, interesting local history and refreshments at the end! We're once again raising funds for Dementia awareness and local causes which offer support for those with dementia and their families.
Refreshments are provided at our pop-up cafe, the cakes are very popular so bring some cash!
Parking is available in public carparks close to the town centre.
Cost - a donation of £5 per adult and £2 per child is suggested.
Important: please add your name or a nickname with your donation so we can match this up when you register on the day.
You may pay on the day with cash or card, but we encourage pre-booking so we have a good idea of numbers (and cakes needed!)
