10K GRASAC Fundraiser

We are Morgane and Phoebe, co-founders of Drive Change. We are on a mission to raise awareness of abuse of Positions of Trust, improve safeguarding in driving instruction, and advocate for victims of sexual assault and abuse from those in trusted positions.

We first met after the sentencing of our driving instructor at Gloucester Crown Court in the Autumn of 2024, who sexually assaulted us both, along with three other young women. The trial was a long and difficult process, and although our case was heard and our perpetrator sentenced, this was just the start of our work together. After hearing each others' stories, we were heartbroken by the lasting and damaging affects of this kind of abuse of trust, and knew we wanted to do more to protect survivors and prevent this happening to any other young person.

We started Drive Change as a supporting platform, community, and safe space for anyone affected by abuse of trust, particularly in regards to driving instruction.

Through our short journey so far, we have been supported by various individuals and organisations who have enabled us to do the important work we have embarked on so far. One of these organisations is Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (GRASAC), who have showed their support regarding our recent November 2024 press statement, and have been instrumental in aiding our cause. To give back and show our thanks to GRASAC, we are raising money for their incredible organisation through a 10K race at Westonbirt Arboretum on the 9th of February 2025.

More information about Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre: Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre was founded in 1984. Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre offers practical and emotional support, in complete confidence, for survivors who have experienced rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse. Our aims are to: relieve the emotional, psychological and/or physical distress of people (especially of women and girls) who have experienced sexual violence; and to educate the public about the nature of sexual violence and its impact
