Hi, we are Leigh Miners Ladies, and some of our ladies are running the Tatton Park 10K on Saturday 13th December to raise money for a new roof for Leigh Miners Welfare institute. Any donation would be greatly appreciated as the ladies are stepping out of their comfort zone to fight for their club!

We play/train and socialise at Leigh Miners welfare institute. For the past couple of years, the club has faces significant leaks across the entire upstairs floor, behind the bar, in the ballroom and near the lift. These leaks are causing significant damage and preventing the club from refurbishing and effectively hiring out the rooms.

Replacing the roof is an essential step to protect the club ensuring this beloved community space remains functional and beautiful.

Despite asking many roofers for quotes, they always fall in the ball park of £60,000-£100,000 which is a big job we can’t manage alone!
