‘100km for 100 Steps: Help Doris Move Forward♥️’
Donation protected
In June, Doris and i will walk 100km, rain or shine (sorry Doris)!
We are doing this to raise £5,000 to buy a ceiling track hoist for Doris, a brave and beautiful 5-year-old girl living with a rare life-limiting brain disorder, a genetic condition, and complex epilepsy. Doris cannot attend school, so we built her a therapy room at home to support her development and comfort. However, to make full use of the space—especially for vital standing therapy and access to her sensory equipment—a ceiling hoist is essential.
Why 100? Because Doris’ brain condition and genetic disorder both have a 1 in 100,000 chance of being born with either of them.
The dream would be one day Doris could take 100 steps using her standing sling in her hoist!!
This equipment will give Doris the chance to engage more safely and independently in her daily therapies.
Any money left over after purchasing and installing the hoist will be given to The Rainbow Centre, without the Rainbow Centre we never have even dreamed that Doris would be able to even take any steps!
