100K walk on the Greenway-Multiple Sclerosis Louth

Donation protected
My name is Paul Ferguson, I have been involved/volunteering for Multiple sclerosis Ireland Louth branch for a number of years now, but unfortunately this year due to covid many fundraising events were unable to go ahead. I have been diagnosed with MS since 2010. Me and my late wife would often attend events, such as coffee mornings and meetings with the MS Louth branch. They have all been so helpful since her passing, so we would like to do something in return for them. We will be doing this sponsored walk in her memory (Mary Ferguson).

Myself, My Daughter Sarah-Jane and our Dog Hollie will walk "100k on the greenway" within the month of November, in loving memory of Mary. The greenway is located in Louth from Omeath to Carlingford, I will be down there most days around 12noon, everyone is more than welcome to join me on one of the walks (2 meters away).
I would greatly appreciate any help people are able to give to the MS Louth branch.

What is MS?
Multiple Sclerosis is a condition affecting the central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain and the spinal cord. The CNS controls the motor, sensory and cognitive functioning of the body by processing and transmitting messages through a network of nerves. These nerves are covered by a fatty substance called myelin, which helps to conduct the messages. MS develops when the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks this myelin, thinking that it is a foreign substance.

What are the Symptoms?
Some of the symptoms of MS include, reduced mobility, fatigue, changes in sensation, memory and concentration. MS also affects your balance, bowel & bladder, memory & thinking, mood depression & emotions, muscle & spasm, pain & sensory, speech & swallowing and tremors.
