Some of you might know, I have been volunteering for a homeless charity called Rhythms of Life for over 2 years now. It’s very much a grass roots charity, totally dependent on food donations from the big name supermarkets and food stores which are then cooked up in our make shift kitchens 3 days a week and served to Londons homeless every Tuesday Thursday and Sunday night in Trafalgar Square…It’s such a small charity and basically survives week by week thanks to Andrew Faris who set up the charity and us volunteers.
I’m attempting a solo 100 000 steps on 31 October, a mere 47 miles, about 17 hours walking with a few rest stops. I’d love to raise £250 so I can send to Andrew and he can spend on things like petrol for the van, new tables to lay the food out on, plastic gloves, cutlery, cups for soup, things like that.
If you could sponsor me then I’ll have to complete it come rain or shine!
