100 push ups a day & Dry Jan for the MS society
Every year around my birthday, I do a fundraiser in honour of the work the MS society does in trying to make headway in dealing with this disease.
My mum has had MS (Multiple sclerosis) since the age of around 23. This affects her nervous system meaning parts of her body slowly lose their feel and responsiveness - specifically the left side of her body for mum. Recently, the MS has got worse and now has severely restricted her ability to talk, eat and communicate with people which is incredibly frustrating for her - yet she marches on with an insane amount of mental strength and willpower.
So I thought I would go a bit further this year. I wanted to do a mental and a physical element to the fundraiser. Every day throughout January, I will do 100 push-ups. This will be filmed and posted on my Instagram story for anyone who wants to keep up to date. I will also be taking part in dry January which I have never done before. My housemate Jamie Webb will also be taking part with me.
My parent company Octopus are also matching every donation up to £500 plus potentially another company as well. So your donation will be doubled, if not tripled.
Thanks if you read this far - I appreciate you. Equally grateful for any donations or shares of the fundraiser.
Catch you soon :)
