Every child deserves a safe place to play, explore, and grow.
At our small village school, with around 95 wonderful pupils, we dream of creating an outdoor space where children can learn through play, build confidence, and connect with nature.
Right now, the school has very limited outdoor facilities, and our pupils are missing out on the joy, freedom, and development that come from active play and outdoor learning. We want to change that — to give them a space that inspires movement, imagination, and community spirit.
As a small school, their budget is limited, since school funding in England is largely based on pupil numbers. With fewer pupils, funding simply doesn’t stretch far enough to cover major repairs or replacements.
That’s why we’re asking for your help.
100 Miles in 24 Hours — A Challenge for Change!
To raise vital funds, our amazing local councillor Kyle Genner and dedicated parent George Hesler are taking on an incredible challenge — they’ll be running 100 miles in just 24 hours!
Yes, one hundred miles. In a single day. Through pain, fatigue and sheer determination, all to help rebuild a safe, inspiring playground for our children and community.
Their effort symbolises the heart of our community: people coming together, going the extra mile -or 100! to give our children the future they deserve.
Why This Playground Matters
For our children:
• Safe, modern equipment to explore and play on
• Outdoor space that supports physical and emotional wellbeing
• A chance to build confidence, teamwork, and friendships
• Daily exercise that improves focus, health, and happiness
For our community:
We plan to open the new equipment two nights per week —
✨ Trim Trail Tuesday and Fast Track Friday —
so local families can join in and make use of the new outdoor space too!
This will turn our playground into a shared community hub for fun, fitness and togetherness.
How Your Donation Helps
Every penny will go directly toward:
• Replacing unsafe structures and surfacing
• Installing fun and engaging play equipment
• Creating a welcoming community space for everyone
No donation is too small — each pound brings us closer to a safe, happy, active outdoor space for our children.
A Message from the Heart
Our children deserve a place to play safely, learn through movement, and grow with joy. Right now, they simply don’t have that.
With your help — and with Kyle and George’s incredible effort — we can change that.
Please donate, share, and cheer them on as they take on 100 miles for our children’s future.
Together, let’s bring laughter, energy and community spirit back to our playground.
