Even $1 helps us realize our vision.
Our vision for the future:
-Provide a bike to every kid that needs one.
-Establish a working space (warehouse/office [phone redacted] sq.ft.) to scale our operation as a non-profit organization serving the North Austin area and surrounding communities.
-Partner with schools and other social service organizations to provide their kids free bikes (word is already spreading and requests are coming in!).
-Focus on high output and quality control of all outgoing bikes (recycled and new).
-Establish internship programs for students with learning and or communications barriers (we have ties to special education and deaf ed. programs) to teach bike mechanical, tool, and shop skills.
-Provide a space for motivated volunteers to lend their skills and knowledge for this cause.
-Provide free or low cost repair and maintenance services for everyone.
-Promote cycling and awareness in the greater North Austin area, and complement existing cycling initiatives.
How we get there:
-Establish our project as a registered non-profit organization.
-Financial support and backing to grow and sustain our project.
-Acquire affordable warehouse space by leasing or through other city programs.
-Paid coordinator position(s) to efficiently manage volunteers and establish consistent communications channels with partner organizations.
-Receive bike and/or part donations to fix bikes so we can reach as many kids as quickly as possible.
-Solicit the help of anyone that believes in the importance of this cause to spread the word far and wide.
All proceeds from this campaign will fund this project and our vision!
