10 Years of Tibet Film Festival
The Tibet Film Festival is celebrating its 10 year anniversary. To make this anniversary happen, we depend on support and funds, so that we can carry out a special edition for both Zurich (Switzerland) and Dharamsala (India).
About the Film Festival
The Tibet Film Festival was founded in 2008, inspired by Dhondup Wangchen, a self-taught Tibetan filmmaker, who was imprisoned for his film ‘Leaving Fear Behind’. This 2-day film festival takes place simultaneously in Dharamsala (India) and Zurich (Switzerland), showcasing films made by Tibetans inside Tibet and in exile. The independent non-profit festival is run by an organizing committee comprised entirely of volunteers, spread across India and Switzerland. TFF is a cooperation of the associations Filming for Tibet and the Tibetan Youth Association in Europe.

*Your donation will fully benefit the implementation of the festival (please email us at [email redacted] if you would like to receive our budget costs). Our main costs are: production of communication materials, screening fees, conversion of films into DCP format, short film competition awards, graphic design, advertisements etc.
