10 month old orphan twins- The Rosenfeld Family

In the face of unspeakable tragedy, we feel compelled to share the heartbreaking story of two brave souls, Hadar and Itay Berdichevsky. Our young cousins from the peaceful Kfar Aza kibbutz in Israel, nestled along the eastern border of the Gaza Strip, were tragically taken from us when terrorists stormed their home.
What makes their story even more harrowing is that they were not just victims; they were heroes. Hadar and Itay, both just 30 years old, exhibited incredible courage. Faced with the threat of violence and terror, they shielded their infant twins from the merciless grasp of Hamas.
On that fateful Saturday, October 7th, as Hamas militants launched a massive incursion into Israel from Gaza, the kibbutz became a battleground. Hadar and Itay tried to hide their precious twins in a bomb shelter before taking a valiant stand to protect their loved ones. Unfortunately, they were murdered before they could get to the twins. When the IDF finally cleared the kibbutz, they discovered the lifeless bodies of seven Hamas militants outside their apartment. The twins, however, remained in their beds and terrified for 14 agonizing hours. They were found and transported to a hospital.
Hadar's father, Michy Rosenfeld, is now faced with the overwhelming task of caring for the surviving twins, even as his own home was destroyed in this senseless act of violence. To add to the heartbreak, one of his daughters was also taken from him in this tragedy. His grief is immeasurable, and his burden unbearable.
We are reaching out, not just with words, but with a plea for help. We ask for your support in securing a better future for the twins, and in assisting Michy during this desperate time of need. We know that there are no words that can fully ease his pain, but together, we can offer practical help and a glimmer of hope.
Please consider giving whatever you can. We understand that we might be miles away, but the power of our collective compassion can bridge the gap. We have set up an account, linked to one for the twins, which Michy will be able to access to ensure their well-being and future.
From the deepest corners of our hearts, we thank you.
Your love, help, and support mean more than words can express.
