Hi, my name is Jake Wardle, and I am a 15-year-old student with a big dream — to dedicate my life to protecting wildlife and our planet’s most fragile ecosystems. I have been given the incredible opportunity to spend 4 weeks in July 2026 volunteering in Botswana’s Tuli Block, a breathtaking region along the Limpopo River near the South African border. Known for its elephants, big cats and rare birdlife, this area is also under constant threat from poaching and habitat loss.
During my time in Botswana, I will:
- Assist with wildlife research to track population growth and species health.
- Join anti-poaching patrols, removing deadly snares to protect elephants, antelope, and big cats.
- Help build and maintain waterholes, giving animals access to safe drinking water.
- Conduct species surveys of birds, mammals and vegetation to measure biodiversity and population density.
This work is vital to conservation — it directly supports efforts to protect wildlife and ensures the future of one of Africa’s most important ecosystems.
To make this dream possible, I need to raise £4,500, which covers flights, program costs, visa, vaccinations and essential equipment. I am not relying only on donations — I’ve been working hard through babysitting, pet sitting, cleaning and doing a paper round to contribute myself. But I cannot reach this goal without help.
Every single penny raised will go directly toward volunteerism. By supporting me, you are directly contributing to conservation on the ground in Botswana.
If you can donate, I would be incredibly grateful. If not, please spread the word and share the message with as many people you know, friends, family, coworkers and classmates. Together, we can protect Africa’s wildlife and make a real difference. Your support today will help Africa's wildlife for generations to come…
Thank you so much for your support and consideration,
Jake :)
