1 Million Pushups for Hellen Keller International

We are the 1 Million Pressups Challenge!

The University of Manchester, 2025 - a group of friends did a couple pressups. Someone joked about doing 1 million of them. Someone else took that too seriously. Now, there is a community of us, in multiple countries and multiple continents, spanning oceans and cultures, united by one goal - doing a ridiculous number of pressups.

At first, the whole point was doing this for no reason at all. We started an Instagram with montages of silly pressups (think with a snake on your back, on a ladder, in a cave). Soon, after gaining traction online (@1millionpressups on Instagram!) we realized this had potential to do good in the world. Hellen Keller International is one of the most cost effective charities in the world, with an estimated $3,500 needed so save a life. We want to do the most good we can!

So here we are, beginning the 1 Million Pressups fundraiser. Support a good cause! Watch us do increasingly silly pressups. Join the movement.
