$1 BILLION FOR EARTH UNIVERSITY

EARTH University is a global institution that offers a rigorous four-year undergraduate program in Agricultural Sciences, led by an international faculty that provides an education with solid scientific and technical foundations, with an emphasis on ethical values, entrepreneurship, and environmental and social commitment.

EARTH was established by Costa Rican law in 1986 as a private, non-profit, international university and created with the support of the Costa Rican government, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

The EARTH University Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, GA, USA. It supports the educational mission and vision of EARTH University through generous gifts from the global community and other programs and initiatives.

There are currently almost 3,000 EARTH University graduates improving our world by addressing food insecurity, poverty, and climate change. More than 70% of EARTH alumni return to their home countries as leaders and change agents, addressing environmental issues such as soil and water conservation and waste management. They are also making great impact in improving rural livelihoods by training farmers, increasing incomes for families, generating employment, and improving working conditions.

My name is Esteban Chanto Arès. I studied at EARTH University between 2014 and 2017, undoubtedly the best four years of my life, thanks to donations made by Mr. and Mrs. Barrett, as well as my loving mother, Christine Annette Arès.

EARTH University saved my life, and because of that I pledge to fully dedicate the rest of my existence to support EARTH, to spearhead their mission, and to spread seeds of hope all around the globe.
