Let's Help Ava

Donation protected
My wife Meghan's brother David Truesdale has been in the hospital and is not doing well. His wife Heather passed away suddenly a few months ago. Together they have an amazing 16 year-old daughter, our niece Ava. Unfortunately, David's condition in the hospital has worsened considerably. With no remaining parent to cover daily, weekly, or monthly expenses, Ava is moving in with her grandparents in South Georgia to finish high school.

At a time when most sweet sixteens are enjoying their new driver’s license and planning road trips to look at colleges, Ava is having to start over. That can be a scary, daunting prospect, to be sure. Let us at least make the financial side of this somewhat easier to navigate. Let’s help Ava.

This fundraiser grew out of requests from friends and family to have a way to help contribute toward Ava’s move across the state (along with two dogs, a cat, a turtle, and all of the family's belongings). But the truth is that with her remaining parent unable to work for the foreseeable future (and, sadly, perhaps indefinitely), she can use all the help we can muster moving forward, especially with college coming right around the corner. Please give what you can and share this fundraiser as far and wide as your voice and network will go. Let us be the village that it takes. Thank you.
