This is a Black August Action Equal Justice Rally & Protest in Sacramento California!
We are families from all of California whose loved ones have been killed because of Police & State Repression! We are a cadre of mostly Black and Brown people whose lives were negatively impacted due to no fault of our own. We have joined together to demand that the State of California Repeal the Bill of Rights that allows Police to Act with Impunity here in the State of California. To that end we are organizing a Rally & Protest at the Governor's Mansion in Sacramento California.
We are raising funds to help those who need assistance in getting to Sacramento. The funds will be used to generate signs, videos, and refreshments (lunch, drinks), to pay for Transportation on buses, Amtrak, or to reimburse volunteers for gas. Also to assist those who may be arrested or detained.
Please donate ASAP as we are in need of the funds for planning. The event takes place on August 11th and the funds are needed immediately.
Black & Brown residents of California are under the gun when it comes to police. Because of the Peace Officers Bill of Rights there is no accountability and they have been exonerated in almost every case. However, it is the Politicians, and Legislatures who gave them that Power and we are demanding a repeal of the Police Officers Bill of Rights. Just as Ordinary Citizens are held accountable for their, there should be no special rights given to those sworn to protect the Public.
