Marsh Lane vs Ineos Public Inquiry

Help us defend our community from fracking!!!   Fracking giant INEOS plan to build a huge well pad next to our homes, and less than 1km away from our children's playground and primary school at Bramleymoor Lane Marsh.   The 19th of June marks the start of a 2 week public inquiry into the proposed fracking development. This is our most important chance to put forward our arguments and challenge INEOS’s application.   We have been standing strong and united to protect our community from fracking for a year now, with our local council already declining a permission to test for fracking. But INEOS moved the goalposts and took the combative step of appealing directly to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government to refer the matter to a national planning inquiry, trying to take the matter out of our hands.   This public inquiry is the only chance we have to fight back! We need legal and professional support to win this milestone in the fight against INEOS. Please help us reach our £5,000 goal, so we can access the help we need!   If plans for the well pad go ahead, our children and our community will be exposed to unacceptable levels of dust, pollutants and generator noise 24 hours a day. Some of our children already suffer from chronic respiratory illnesses, and the impact of the area’s coal mining past can still be felt on our community’s health - with people suffering from pneumoconiosis, lung disease and related cancers. We will not let this happen again!   We have secured the services of a top barrister to help us with the legal complexities of the planning aspects of our case and are nearly half-way through on our fundraising target. But with under 2 weeks left to go until the public inquiry, it is crucial that we raise the remainder as fast as possible.   This community has suffered enough at the hands of such industries and this is not what we want for our future generation and local environment. We really need your support to help prevent this filthy industry from destroying our beautiful countryside, health and livelihoods.
