Eastman's Kids Fund

Officer Barry Eastman (on right) joined the Metropolitan Police Department (DC) in February 2013. He was assigned to the Third District and was an easy going, fun, and caring brother to work with. One example was of his ESPN highlight when he and some other officers had a friendly game of football with members of the neighborhood during Snowzilla 2016.  He caught a pass, stiff armed an opponent into the snow, and ran through for a touchdown.   



On Monday, September 25th, 2017, he was involved in a fatal traffic accident while off duty and driving home.

In the wake of this tragedy, Officer Eastman leaves his wife and two children (a boy and girl who just recently turned 5 years old).

This fund was setup through a collaboration of the officers and sergeant of Officer Eastman's midnight shift, PSA 301, to help care for his two young children.

Donations will be collected until October 25th, 2017.  All donations will then be delivered to Mrs. Eastman.
