My name is Jacob Rosenberg and I am a Life Scout who is pursuing the rank of Eagle. I have set this GoFundMe up to raise money for my Eagle Scout Project, which is the construction of a community book exchange (small, free library) on the grounds of American Legion Post 120 (Tosccanni Post) in Lambertville, New Jersey to encourage literacy and promote a sense of community in the Lambertville-New Hope area.

 

Post 120, named after a Civil War Union soldier from the area, has been a center of community service activities in the Lambertville-New Hope Area, and throughout Hunterdon County, New Jersey and Bucks County , Pennsylvania for decades.

 

However, immediately after I submitted my Eagle Scout Project proposal, American Legion Post 120 experienced catastrophic flood damage due to the remnants of Hurricane Ida. While I intend to proceed with my community book exchange construction Eagle Scout project as planned, I am requesting additional donations for Post 120 to finance some of the repairs for the Post itself.

 

I am seeking $1000.00 in funding for my community book exchange Eagle Scout Project and an additional $3000.00 to aid in repairs at the Post itself.

 

Even if these goals are met, I ask donors to keep giving as all of the funding beyond the initial $1000.00 will be donated to American Legion Post 120.
