Must Relocate
Donation protected
It is very, VERY hard to admit that we need help in moving our family. To be honest, if it was just my husband and I, we'd live in our car or a motel; but we have two teenage boys who are counting on us - our youngest is days away from completing his junior year and our oldest is Autistic.
But I trust in God and know that the path we're on is leading us to a better, more stable life; with a better more stable job for my husband.
Two nights ago our world was turned upside down when our landlord informed us and the three other families in our building that we all need to move out as he's planning to renovate the whole building this summer.
Housing in our current area is either too expensive for our budget, or is not something that works for us as I am disabled and unable to navigate stairs.
My sister and her family live in Pennsylvania and my brother in law has a job waiting for my husband. They have graciously opened their house to us to stay at until we can get back on our feet.
Moving is expensive and though we have some money saved up to move, we don't have nearly enough. Hence why I created this account. We are taking only what we absolutely need and will start almost completely over in Pennsylvania. Sadly, we're rehoming our cats because we feel that it would be too much on them to be in a carrier for hours at a time while we're driving.
In putting together an estimated budget of what we will need, I included the following in the $4,000 we would like to raise:
Vehicular maintenance including two new tires, gas and tolls for move, animal fostering donation (requested by the group we're working with to rehome our cats), rental of a small uhaul truck for what little furniture and belongings we're able to take with us, funds towards security and first month's rent, obtaining secondhand furniture when we secure a new home, utility deposits, and any emergencies that may come up.
I do know that many people do not wish to donate//help via sites such as these. I also have a paypal account as well (email is [email redacted]).
