FIVE-O app startup

$1,490 of $40,000 goal

Raised by 15 people in 51 months

We created the FIVE-O law enforcement rate and review app to raise awareness and improve visibility into police services offered in local communities in the United States.

We are raising funds to help us to make improvements to the app's design, to add on technical features which we couldn't do ourselves and to get the word out to communities across the country about the utility of our app.

Our goal is to help to bring customer service to police services and to empower citizens to share and store all of their positive & negative interactions with local law enforcement officers.  Citizens, police departments, media and local activists will all be able to access reports via the FIVE-O app.

Please join our team by supporting FIVE-O and helping us to work together to bring change to the world one review at a time.

We wanted to take this time to once again say thank you to all of our contributors. We used the funds raised to pay for an additional ticket to attend the Innovating Justice Challenge at the Hague, Netherlands where the Five-O app was entered and selected one of three finalists.

We are happy to report that the Five-O app was awarded the first place prize and the team was awarded a purse of €20,000.

Some of the funds will be used to redesign the app and to launch local awareness campaigns in 5 cities. The balance will be used for outreach to community activists and police groups as we seek to work with all stakeholders to make communities safer for all citizens.

Once again, we thank you for your contributions. Our mission is to become the global repository for independent police conduct data and we know that with your help, our goals will be achieved.

Thank you very much for your kind support. Currently we are continuing to work on redesigning the user interface of the FIVE-O app and completing the IOS version.

We will use all contributions to implement our strategy of acquiring users in the eight largest cities and then nationally.

Once again, we thank you for your contribution to the process of improving partnership policing in America.

I am an advisor to a start-up called sketch-factor. We are a crowd-sourcing safety app for walkers, students in a city. We use the term "sketchy" to describe any situation, including police interactions, like stop & frisk. If you need any help in any way, just ask.
