Nursing Service Trip To Brazil

Donation protected
As a Nursing Student traveling abroad is something I never thought I would get the chance to do.  Here I am in my final year of school, and I have been handed one of my dreams. Just recently I was chosen to go to Brazil for a service mission.  A group of about 20 of us, will be spending one week in a rural area and one week in the suburbs.  While we are there we will be continuing to challenging our nursing skills, educating the community, and enhancing our love for helping others.

Throughout nursing school my motivation has always been my desire to care for others.  I dont want to graduate for the diploma or to pass boards in the end.  I want to feel like I am getting an education to enhance the lives of other people. I thought no better way than to put myself out of my comfort zone and experience something I may never get the chance to otherwise.

As if traveling across the world wasnt already out of my comfort zone, asking for donations may just top that! Unfortunelty, the cost is only thing holding me back.  I am working to pay for the trip on my own  but the money I raise will help pay for travel and housing expenses, medical supplies, immunizations, ground transportation and any other funds to make the trip possible.  Our trip leaves in September, I will make one payment by June and the rest in August.

Any donations, support, love, prayers will go a long way! Like I said this has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remeber, so I appriciate any amount of support!

As I know more detials about the trip I will continue to update, but let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you!
Danielle

P.S. Attached are a couple links: One is a link to Chamberlain's blog so that you may look more into the history of Chamberlain's work in Brazil if you so choose! The other two links are two my dear friends Megan, Sarah and Alyssa's GoFundMe account.  Not only am I lucky enought to get this kind of opporutnity, but also fortunate  enough to travel with two really good friends of mine. Feel free to share the support ( prayers, words of encouragment, donations, etc)!
