Running For Rescue

Tax deductible
Hello All,

Last year my family experienced a very frightening accident when my dad (Michal) and his training partner Martin (my uncle) were getting ready for a 120 mile, six-day race through the Rocky Mountains. They were traversing through a 10-mile ridge when my dad grabbed a rock, which came loose and it caused him to lose his balance and he fell 60 feet down the mountain.

He sustained serious injuries and was unable to move from the spot on the mountain where he landed.  My uncle was able to contact emergency services and set into motion the rescue event in which the brave personnel from Summit Country Rescue Group, Vail Mountain Rescue, Flight For Life, the Air National Guard and St. Anthony Summit Medical Center staff set out to retrieve him from the mountains.

We are all so thankful for the selfless efforts of these great people who came to save the day.

My dad, due to his injuries was unable to compete in the race he had trained so hard for.  But coming out of this life-changing event he set a new goal.

His next endurance race (June 2019) is dedicated to supporting Summit Rescue Mission Group, a non-profit, all-volunteer organization.

Our lives were forever changed by this experience and left us with a sense of deep gratitude for those who make their purpose saving others.  Our goal is to raise $5,000, to help give back to those who give so much.  Please consider donating to this great cause, any amount is appreciated and all donations will be delivered to the Summit Rescue Mission Group via GoFundMe.

Thank you!
