From February 2017 I intend to cycle thousands of miles, unsupported, across the Asian continent from Turkey to Hong Kong. I will be raising money for the 'White Helmets', a group of men and women risking their lives daily to rescue victims of war in their native Syria
They do not use weapons and remain apolitical, putting themselves at great risk and acting indiscriminate of race or religion. Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, they have begun to receive due attention but are still massively under-resourced. To date 141 White Helmets have lost their lives.
The White Helmets are volunteers and rely on donations to help source equipment and look after injured members and their families. I am working with The Syria Campaign, founded in 2014, to raise money towards the White Helmets and their ‘Hero Fund’. 100% of money will go directly to the White Helmets.
Due to dıffıculties wıth paypal I have decıded to raise money through crowdfundıng. To honour the pledge that 100% of donatıons wıll go directly to the Whıte Helmets I wıll match the administrative fees in a one-off donation at the end.
