In humanity’s most trying moments, it has always been communities of ordinary people who carried each other through -and I believe we are in one of those moments.

So with that we come to you not as developers or corporations but as the mothers, fathers, young adults -the workers. We are the ones who do the everyday jobs that keep our communities running and need to show up even when the systems fail us.

The Canadian housing market is failing us, current methods claim progress but for many stagnate if not worsen the problem.

Our organization is seeking supporters to help purchase plots of land/properties to hold in trust for the benefit of the community- permanently removing it from the speculative market. By legally separating the land from the home, LilyPads can keep the land under nonprofit stewardship while individuals build or buy homes using conventional mortgages, helping to make ownership attainable again. Our partnering modular home builder can provide new builds for almost half the cost of conventional builds and in significantly less time. Beyond housing each lot will integrate edible landscaping alongside thoughtfully designed community gathering areas suited to its surroundings.

Our goal is simple but powerful: create pockets of real estate that can remain accessible to average citizens not just for today, but for our children and the generations that follow.
