Costa Rica Community Aid

Thank you so much for viewing this! My name is Gabrial Canfield, I'm 17 years old, and I'm a Ketchikanian local with big dreams to follow. The funds I require go to a community aid program called AFS, or the American Field Association. This program is an American exchange program from countries all around the world, and the specifics of my program is the Costa Rica Community Service. With the range of funds I will raise, I'll be working in rural communities  to volunteer at farms, wildlife preserves, and schools that need help or support in all areas. I'll be working on forest and community restoration, in a place where help is needed and people are poverty stricken. The money will be put to good use of travel to the country, funds for community projects and learning the culture of a different people. I aim strongly to put forth my best in changing the world step by step, and this is one step that I'm trying to do, and you can help me too! I leave for Costa Rica by June 21, and spend a month helping as much as I can while learning much through my experience. This opportunity means the world to me, as I love volunteering and helping out the world, and this is a giant step in changing lives for the better, as I aim to do. Thank you so much!
