Call to Community To Offer Hand Up

Donation protected

Hi Everyone, You may have read the recent news story about an employee at our local Roseville grocery that had his bike stolen.  When I read the story, I knew immediately who this was.

You see, I have been shopping at the same grocery store forever and I know all the people who work there. A while back, I saw Jim riding his bike over the I-80 overpass on Douglas. Next time I was shopping I asked him about it. He told me he rides his bike to work because his car is not running and he can not afford the repairs (over $2,000). When I heard a bike had been stolen from an employee at our local grocer,  I made the connection.

When you work at a grocer, often you are coming in to work at 4am. That's not the best time to be out riding your bike under the Washington street tunnel.  I am putting this GoFundMe together to see if as a community we can help Jim to get his car repaired so that he can resume driving to work.

If you've ever been through real hard times, you know how much it means when someone offers you a hand up. It changes your world. For a good guy who is a diligent worker, always so kind, my hope is the kindness and goodness he daily puts out in the world will shine back on him.

Thank you for reading and thank you for your support.
