We are excited to continue interior construction on our Community Heritage Barn which is located on site and pictured above, top right.  The Heritage Barn, when complete, will house an interactive exhibit focused on the history of agriculture in our community, a commercial kitchen and archival storage area.  We are so grateful for each person and organization that has contributed the funds to build this Barn.  Our community has been generous and supportive but we need your help to fully complete Quincy's Community Heritage Barn.  Additional costs in labor and materials since we began the project in 2016 have increased the cost beyond our current resources.  We need these funds to finish the Heating/Air system, the electrical system, the bathrooms and the kitchen.

Our community-based, 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization is primarily run by a devoted cast of volunteers who serve the residents of the greater Quincy Valley, located in the center of Washington State.

WE ARE A SMALL HISTORICAL MUSEUM/COMMUNITY CENTER WITH A BIG HEART AND LOFTY GOALS!

Our property is located in the town of Quincy, Washington and is the perfect place for community gatherings and special events. The facility includes the historic Reiman-Simmons house and Pioneer Church, the new Heritage Barn in progress, a working summer kitchen, antique functioning windmill and bathroom facilities along with beautifully landscaped gardens and a large grass gathering area.

We provide Time Traveler's field trips to local (and beyond) third graders which include candle making, old-time laundry, fry bread making, quilt tying, and other activities of yesteryear.  The QVHSM  provides workbooks, lessons and trunks full of interesting and historically relevant items to teachers and librarians at each school in the Quincy School District.  The goal is to provide students with a hands-on learning experience of the ways of the Quincy Valley pioneers both in the classroom and during their field trip to the museum.

The Quincy Valley Historical Society is devoted to preserving our rich agricultural history and bringing it alive for current generations on a property that is ideal for community fellowship, learning and culture.  There are several events each year including a Celebration of Cultures Festival, Humanities Speaker's Bureau talks, concerts, Old Fashioned Christmas celebrations and others.

Please consider helping us reach our financial goal so that we can continue to serve our community, welcome new friends from near and far and complete the Heritage Barn which will be a vital resource for all.

Many thanks!
