Welcome!
Colin is a candidate for Gary's 4th District City Council.
Born and raised in the 4th District, Colin is a fourth generation resident of Gary, Indiana. The community welcomed his great-grandfather during the Great Migration, when he purchased a home in the 4th District that has been passed down in his family for generations. Today, Colin still credits the welcoming spirit of his community to his success. Gary molded him, enriched his spirit, and introduced him to people from all walks of life. Gary is and will always be home.
Colin is a proud product of the community's educational system. He attended Banneker Elementary School and Tolleston Middle School, and graduated from Bishop Noll Institute after excelling in track & field as well as football. After high school, Colin received his undergraduate degree from Earlham College in Business Management. He completed his graduate education with a Master of Science in Communication degree from Northwestern University.
Though education was always a top of priority, Colin knew it came second only to his desire for service, that he would one day give back to the community that gave so much to him. Like so many, Colin only wants the best for the city and its residents. He's witnessed neighborhoods just like Gary's 4th District in cities such as Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, and Philadelphia evolve into pioneers of change and champions of urban renewal. This would be a Renaissance befitting the men and women who call their communities home. Colin believes that Gary is next in line and the 4th District, which includes Gary's historic Downtown, Midtown, Means Manor, Tolleston, and Emerson neighborhoods, will be at the epicenter of this evolution.
