Colchester Guardian Rescue Inc.  is a non-profit organization that provides an all-volunteer marine rescue service dedicated to saving lives and safe boating activities.   Our crew is 100% volunteer and our services are always FREE of charge!

Whether it's a search and rescue, medical transport, humanitarian mission, pleasure craft safety check, deck tour or field trip for local school children, we strive to meet the highest professional standards. We work with other organizations including the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary , Canadian Coast Guard, local fire departments, police, the Joint Rescue Coordination Center and others to help save lives on the water.

With thousands of volunteer hours and donations from the local community, we refurbished an old steel boat ...

into a new search and rescue unit.

Having completed dozens of search and rescue missions, our volunteer crew has already saved several lives...

News stories of some of the rescues we've been involved in:

Essex County personal watercraft riders rescued by Canadian Coast Guard after eight-hour ordeal in Lake Erie

Volunteer rescue crew recovers 9 passengers from sinking vessel on Lake Erie (CTV News)

Colchester Guardian Rescues 9 People in Lake Erie (Windsor Star)

Fire crews, Colchester Guardian rescue two fishermen from damaged boat in Kingsville

Search turns into recovery effort for missing Michigan woman in Lake Erie

But we need your ongoing support to keep our lifesaving operations going!

We do not receive annual direct funding so we rely on donations for fuel, oil, maintenance and repairs.

Our latest need is for new motors.  A pair of new 300hp outboard motors will help us get on scene faster, reduce operating costs, be more environmentally friendly and ultimately save more lives.

100% of the Money from this GoFundMe campaign will go towards our search and rescue (SAR) efforts in the form of fuel, maintenance, repairs, equipment and new motors.

Help us bring those lost in the waves back to their loved ones....

Glad to help. I grew up in Harrow and still have two brothers living just outside of town. Be careful of them, however, because Chuck and Don are bad dudes. That's a joke...
