Clarissa and her boys storm relief

Donation protected
Clarissa and her 2 boys escaped tragedy by one hour during a catastrophic storm in Conroe, Texas on Thursday May 26, 2016. Clarissa would have been huddled with the boys in their living room, riding out 60+ mph straight winds and several inches of rain, had her employer not called her in to work. Thank God she took her youngest with her!

While at work, a 60+ ft pine tree fell and split her rented 3 BR/2BA home in two while also damaging her car and the adjacent garage. Power lines were strewn about and there was a slow gas leak but most scary was the fact that the living room was demolished and nothing was left intact. Over the period of a few days the rain did not cease and therefore near 90% of her belongings have been destroyed. She is alive and grateful for God's mercy but also desparate to bring normalcy to her sons's life. She needs YOU. Her boys need YOU. Will YOU answer the call?

Here is a link to The Conroe Courier article about her ordeal:http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/courier/news/conroe-mom-sons-displaced-by-fallen-tree/article_900dbee8-aa95-5f09-b75e-10df05846ff2.html

We are seeking enough funds to assist Clarissa and the boys to put a minimum of four months rent down plus the corresponding deposit, so she can also focus on replacing the belongings she had before while dealing with new surroundings and higher bills. It appears that what she was paying is approximately $200 per month less than the going rate in the same zip code. Schools and work are nearby as well as a small circle of security within the neighbors who watch over one another. Clarissa also needs, electronics, some clothing, toiletries, linens, furniture, wall hangings, rugs, household goods and basic supplies.

Help, and be blessed, while shining love on a single mom and her two young boys. There are several community leaders involved in this fundraising and will be assisting in fiscally responsible spending.

NO GIFT IS TOO SMALL. PRAY and seek God's will... Then get involved as YOU feel called.......

Feel free to ask questions and Angela Matthews or Nathan Arrazate will reply quickly. CISD teacher Karri Fowler, City Councilman Duke Coon and Spirit of Texas Bank are also helping to coordinate efforts. All funds will be made payable to CLARISSA LOPEZ and deposited into her account that is being facilitated by Angela Matthews.

Thank You and visit Montgomery County Lifestyle Facebook for periodic updates as well as this page too.

We hope to be at our goal NO LATER than Friday 6/17/2016.
