Chris and Dorothy Howett assistance

For those of you that do not recognize this handsome gentleman this is Chris Howett.  Chris has been a staple in the community for 40 plus years riding his bike throughout the Village and beyond.  He has been the Grosse Pointe Honorary Bike Patolman faithfully logging more miles with his bike than some of us have in our careers in a patrol car.  Chris is still passionately riding and serves in an unofficial capacity for the local police and fire departments.  Chris loves being around the fire trucks and is a pleasure to have around.   Chris and his mother Dorothy need your help.  Dorothy is in her 80's and Chris is in his 50's and both have heath issues.  Dorothy has raised a thoughful, polite, and diligent human being and in return our local police and fire department members would like to give back to her and her son.  Chris and his mother need some help in their home with general cleaning, organizing, and maintenance.  We are looking for volunteers to assist us in getting their home organized thus making it more manageable for the two of them.  We hope you can support our effort for these two worthy people.  Thank you for any and all support.

Any money raised will be used for purchasing of home improvement items, i.e. appliances, paint, carpet, etc. 
Also with enough generous donations we will help make the home safer and more accesible.  Other priorties are general exteriror cosmetic repair as well as landscaping.  This will be quite an on-going ordeal so funds will be accepted up until the point at which we are able to finish the work.  We are also distributing flyers explaining our plans as well as accepting volunteer work and home improvements used and new.
