The plan is to tackle the huge problem of air pollution by one of the most polluted school in London, situated right next to the A4, a 6-lanes carriageway with a flow of up to 100,000 vehicles a day.

This is what we want to do:

We want to buy air purifiers to place inside each class.
Plant more trees.
Build an edible Playground around the school and add more "green" to the site.
Buy air purifiers to place inside each classroom
Re-paint the school with special purifying system in paint form ( http://www.airlite.com)

We've already raised more than £75,000 on www.spacehive.com/chiswickoasis to build a living wall along the perimeter of our playground. (This newly refurbished space will also be open to the public, after school hours and week-ends, and will become a site for markets, fairs and other social events).

You can read more about the full project here

Our campaign has gained support from the whole community, from our local MP and local councillors from opposite side of the political landscape.

Please, help us. This is for our children and their health but it's also for the whole community of Chiswick and beyond as we are hoping this will become a model for many other schools to follow.

We've now reached our target on Spacehive to build a green wall. It's now time to concentrate on raising the money to buy some air purifiers as we believe the air inside buildings can be just as polluted as the air outside. A segment from the Jeremy Vine show on Friday the 30th of November 2018, suggests whether roads nears schools should be closed.
