Yorkie911 Needs Your Help
Yorkie911 is a nonprofit rescue that I have the privilege to volunteer for. Heidi, the owner, and all the volunteers go above and beyond for all dogs in need.
Most recently they rescued six chihuahuas from a terrible hoarding house where they were neglected and abused. Now they are receiving all the love and care at the rescue.
They also recently tried to save a nine week old puppy with Parvo that came from an irresponsible breeder. Yorkie911 came in and took the surrendered puppy to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Commack. After four days of trying to save his life, he lost his battle. YORKIE911 has incurred $10,000 in medical bills along with the $2,500 in previous vet/adoption fees.
We also have three upcoming major surgeries - 2 dogs having patellar surgery on both back legs and another pup having TECA on both of her ears. Estimate for these 3 procedures is close to $20,000
These are only a few of the countless times that Yorkie911 has saved so many dogs. They continue working hard and providing the best care and love to these animals.
However, saving and caring for these beautiful animals incurs lots of costs. We are asking for donations to help the rescue save more lives and pay vet bills for the lives that were saved.
All it takes is $1 to make a difference and sharing with others. Rescues are a God send and now I get to see all what goes into this selfless act of kindness for these animals…trust me a lot goes into it. Let’s continue spreading the word on “adopt don’t shop” and help rescues thrive so they can save more lives.
