Get GiGi Back on the Road for Vallejo Kids
Help Save GiGi’s Mobile Preschool Classroom
Hi, my name is Cynthia Allen, and I’m the proud founder of With Early Education Cultivating Our Urban Neighborhoods Together (WEE COUNT) — a mobile preschool that brings early education directly to underserved children in Vallejo, CA.
In 2018, I converted a 1993 40-foot school bus into a fully functioning preschool classroom to serve children ages 2–5 who otherwise face barriers to access. This bus, lovingly named GiGi, is more than a vehicle — it's a rolling classroom, a safe space, and a dream realized.
Just recently, I received a huge opportunity to partner with the Greater Vallejo Recreation District, offering classes outdoors while continuing to use GiGi to enrich these children’s learning experience. But after just three months back on the road, the bus broke down. It was towed and is now impounded.
This is a devastating setback. I’ve invested everything into bringing this dream to life — personally funding repairs, curriculum, and supplies to give these children a better start. Now, I urgently need your help to get GiGi back on the road and continue serving the kids who need her most.
***Please note: This fundraiser is organized by Cynthia Allen to support the ongoing work of WEE COUNT. While WEE COUNT is a nonprofit, this GoFundMe is not a tax-deductible donation, and funds will be used to directly cover costs like towing and repairs to keep our mobile preschool classroom rolling.
