Niña Guimba is an 18-year-old from Culion, Palawan, raised by her grandparents with the help of a devoted aunt and uncle. Despite life’s hardships, she graduated high school and is now college-bound—with a dream of becoming a dentist to serve Indigenous communities who often have no access to basic dental care.
She’s starting her journey with a nursing degree, a required step before entering dental school in the Philippines. But she can’t do it alone.
