If you are anxious about how to help the "International Nepali Students" who are hunting for the basic needs (food + supplies) on this time of crisis, please help. The amount we are collecting goes straight to purchasing and delivering the food + supplies to them. We have attached some pictures (pictures speak themselves). The students around the Bay Area, California felt cared that someone is standing by them and couldn't stop expressing their heartfelt gratitude towards our "Covid-19 Helping Students Project" put in place. Based on the amount we collect, we will be helding this project in other States as well.

Hi, my name is Nischal Karki and I’m setting this GoFundMe for my brother Mohit Chhettri, age 35, a kidney and heart patient.

While visiting USA, suddenly he was diagnosed with severe heart and kidney problems resulting in both kidneys failing to function. At one point when he was in the ICU his heart stopped beating and he was considered dead for five minutes before he was resuscitated. The county then sent him to John Muir hospital where he got 3 stents placed in his heart and kidney dialysis.

Along with this, they found stones in his gallbladder and they weren’t able to throw his gallbladder out as he had gone through heart surgery. He now has an external pipe attached to his body to throw out waste and he is doing dialysis three times a week, but he has no insurance to cover his expenses and he is living alone in San Francisco, USA.

More then 138 people were killed and dozens reported missing after torrential rains triggered floods and landslides in parts of Nepal. Many of the casualties were reported from the Terai region bordering India, which faced massive flooding after receiving heavy rainfall. The weatherman has warned that the country will receive more rain on Sunday. It is estimated that tens of thousands were displaced due to the rains. Floods have inundated thousands of houses, leaving families without food and shelter. Flood victims are either displaced or are taking shelters at their relatives’ houses. Several rivers, including the Koshi , Rapti and the Bagmati are close to or have crossed danger levels. The affected areas are Sunsari, Kalikot, Rasuwa, Sindhuli, Chitwan, Panchthar, Banke, Baglung, Jhapa and Makwanpur districts. Floods triggered by incessant rainfall have created havoc in most of the Tarai districts. Numerous lives, properties, rice crops and livelihoods have been shattered by the floods. Floods have inundated thousands of houses, leaving families without food and shelter. Flood victims are either displaced or are taking shelters at their relatives’ houses.  please help them on this situation.

Our friend Sandeep Thapa aged 27 from El- Cerrito California, originally from Bharatpur, Chitwan Nepal have been diagnosed with Advanced cancer i.e. METASTATIC CANCER (Metastatic Cancer, is one which spreads from the primary site of origin (where it started) into a different area(s) of the body. Sandeep is currently admitted at Kaiser Permanente, 3600 Oakland, CA since 12th May and undergoing through the CHEMOTHERAPY. He is in very tough physical situation, fatigued with the radiations and also unlikely to attain all the financial requirements for his treatment process.

Sandeep Thapa came to the United States as an International student with  dreams of being  successful,  just like every other Nepali student and hoping to support his family.  His Social, friendly, lovable, behavior has always won the heart of friends and community. He has been directly involved in the various social activities.

Sandeep is always in our thoughts and prayers, and we are doing what we can to help in this time of need. The family was reluctant to ask for help, but we were able to get their permission to open a GoFundMe account to try and help them out with the large amount of expenses that will be incurred.Your donation would help with mounting medical bills, rehabilitation costs and family travel expenses. We believe that, even this small effort from us may result in a significant contribution for our friend’s recovery.
