SUPPORT MITZI’S SPAY AND MASS REMOVAL
Hi friends! Today we are here to ask for your help with a beautiful, resilient, rescued Pit Bull named “Mitzi”.
If you recall the story of Miss Mitzi, she is a 3-year old Pitty who was rescued from Lancaster Animal Shelter in Los Angeles, CA some months back.
When Mitzi was first picked up from the shelter, she was completely skin and bones—a total shell of her normal self. Besides being severely underweight, she had a terrible skin infection and double ear infection.
Mitzi was in horrific condition. She was defeated and hopeless. Without being rescued that day—who knows how much longer she would have survived.
We are overjoyed to announce that since that fateful day, Mitzi has come so far. Her health has improved immensely (thanks to her stay with Autumn of Calcuated Canine training).
She has put on weight and looks amazing. She no longer suffers from uncomfortable skin conditions or any sort of congestion. She looks like an entirely different dog.
And man oh man, is she grateful or what?! Mitzi is filled with hope and excitement for the future. She loves life and lives it to the fullest. She also loves people. Despite the fact that her ‘human’ gave up on her, and was the reason she ended up in the shelter in her horrific condition, she exudes nothing but forgiveness and love.
Mitzi is ALMOST FULLY HEALED. The final step in Mitzi’s journey to health is to get her SPAYED to prevent any more unwanted pregnancies, and to get two mammary masses removed and biopsied.
Oftentimes mammary masses are found in mama dogs—especially those neglected/dumped at the shelter without proper TLC. If milk builds up inside the mammary glands with no way for it to come out, it can lead to painful infections,
swollen glands and even blood/pus filled abscesses.
We are praying, hoping, wishing, and manifesting good vibes that Mitzi is 1000% cancer-free and that these two large masses are just the result of her healing from an intense pregnancy while in the shelter environment.
Let sweet Mitzi be an example of why pregnant mama dogs or post-pregnancy mama dogs should not be dumped at the shelter. Of course, no dog should—but mama dogs are vulnerable. They need help. Imagine giving birth, then being exiled to a prison cell without any medical help. It’s absolutely horrendous and heartbreaking
All we can do now is help sweet Mitzi by supporting her every step of the way. Mitzi may have had a rough start to her life, but we can ensure TOGETHER that she has the BEST LIFE EVER from here on out! No more pain, no more neglect, no more sadness. Just pure love and happiness like she deserves ❤️
Please help us proceed with Mitzi’s surgery ASAP! The second funds are raised, we can get her operated on. We were quoted $1600 to cover the cost of the spay, mammary removal and biopsy.
This is the final step for Mitzi. After this, we will help her find the BEST family ever who will love her every day for the rest of her life. Mitzi is full of love and happiness. She is as sweet as pie, & we can’t wait for her new life. She deserves ALL the GOOD in this world!
