We’re TASTE Takeover, a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting culture, music, and community through intentional, inclusive events that center the LGBTQ+ and Latinx experience.
We’re thrilled to announce our first headliner has been secured: Cali Flow Latino, direct from Cali, Colombia! They’ll be performing August 9th at Shipgarten in McLean, VA, from 11AM to 8PM—a vibrant, all-ages celebration that’s open to everyone.
This isn’t just about one concert—it’s about building something beautiful. We're curating a lineup of local dancers, performers, artists, and vendors to showcase the incredible talent in our community alongside international artists.
Why We’re Fundraising
To bring this one-of-a-kind festival to life, we’re raising $75,000 to support:
Artist fees, travel, and accommodations
Venue rental, sound, lighting, and production
Event staff, security, and community accessibility resources
Top-tier Latin artists can cost upwards of $60,000 just in fees—and we’re committed to compensating both local and global talent fairly and respectfully. Your support helps us do exactly that.
We're also laying the foundation to open our own queer-centered event and cultural space in the DMV—created by us, for us.

¿Por Qué Recaudamos Fondos?
Para hacer esto posible, estamos recaudando $75,000 para cubrir:
Honorarios, viaje y hospedaje de artistas
Alquiler de lugar, sonido, iluminación y producción
Personal del evento, seguridad y recursos para accesibilidad
Artistas de este nivel requieren inversiones altas, y queremos asegurar una compensación justa para todxs. Además, estamos trabajando para abrir nuestro propio espacio cultural queer en el DMV.
