Carrying Love Forward: A Birthday Fundraiser for My Mom’s Legacy

Every August is special to me. My birthday is August 18, and my mom’s heavenly birthday is August 27. This month is always about love, family, and legacy.

Spelman College connects us both. My mom dedicated her work to Spelman, and I was blessed to graduate from there. Because of that shared bond, I created an endowed scholarship in her name—a way to keep her light shining and to open doors for future Spelman women.

This isn’t just about remembering my mom. It’s about continuing what she started: pouring into others so they can dream bigger, do more, and lead with love.

Every amount is welcome. Whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, your gift helps carry her legacy forward and supports students who need it most.

Please join me in honoring her life and lifting the next generation. Together, we keep her love alive.

Framily it is my mom’s birthday, and the day for her annual fundraiser; I need your help! I am raising funds for my mom's annual memorial scholarship fund to support a deserving Spelman College student. As some of you know, my mom died unexpectedly in 2019. No matter what happens, we can always find a reason to help others. Her birthday is always a tough time, and helping others makes it easier to handle. Please consider supporting the scholarship for my mom at Spelman.

Her life was about framily, Spelman, and the Falcons. When someone passes, you hope that they touched the lives of others, and for my mom, I KNOW she did. I try to console others because she touched so many with her love and food. I know she would want us to celebrate her life and help others. Thank you in advance for your help.

Cherry Collier Jackson loved Spelman College dearly. Help her legacy bless some students and help me remember her birthday is a gift that keeps on giving, and the gift of education can last forever. We are all helping her legacy live on.

Family, in the season of giving, I need your help! I am raising funds for my mom's annual memorial scholarship fund to support a deserving Spelman College student. Many of you know my mom died unexpectedly in 2019. Holidays are tough without the one who birthed me. No matter what happens, we can always find a reason in the season to help others. Please consider supporting the scholarship I have for my mom at Spelman. 

Her life was about framily, Spelman, and the Falcons. I know this is last minute, and I was hesitant to do anything for Christmas. I didn't put up lights, and I am not putting up a tree, but my heart knows she would want me to celebrate her life watching her beloved Falcons against the Saints while helping someone attend Spelman. When someone passes, you hope that they touched the lives of others, and for my mom, I KNOW she did. I try to console others because she touched so many with her love and food. I know she would want us to celebrate her life and help others. Thank you in advance for your help.
